Animal Care Attendants
Dawn
Since 2007, Dawn has been a part of the Beaverton Crossroads team as a kennel assistant. Dawn is committed to ensuring a fresh and clean environment within the clinic. She cares for the animals and finds the work rewarding and interesting. Dawn adopted two dogs from the clinic who desperately needed a caring home. She says, “I continue to enjoy working with such dedicated and sincere staff to serve our clientele.”
Holly
Holly grew up in Port Perry, Ontario. She joined the Beaverton Crossroads family in 2015 after graduating from the Animal Care/ Veterinary Assistant program at Durham College. Holly now lives in Little Britain with her American Akita, Bullet. She has had a passion for animals since she was very young and truly loves her position in the daily health and care for all types of animals.
Kate
Kate grew up horseback riding and surrounded by animals, so enrolling in Durham College’s Animal Care program seemed like a natural choice. She loves helping animals and plans to pursue an education as a veterinary technician in the future, but for now she’s enjoying her post as an animal care attendant at Beaverton Crossroads, where the staff are fun, the work “keeps us on our toes” and she gets to see positive outcomes with pets and clients every day. In her free time, Kate enjoys baking, watching Netflix and snuggling with her three cats, Whiskey, Black and Smokey.
Charlotte
Charlotte grew up in southern Ontario on Lake Erie, and graduated from the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2012. She’s had many kinds of animals over the years—from horses to bunnies—and currently has two cats named Bill and Boots, a 12-year-old Golden Doodle named Toffee and a rescued Huskey/Shepherd named Velma. Charlotte spends her free time outside, going for walks and horseback riding, and loves taking naps with all of her fur babies.
Wyatt
Wyatt was born in 2006 and was surrendered to the clinic in 2011 because of medical concerns. Since that time he's become a well-loved ambassador with clients and staff. His fame has extended outside the borders of the clinic and our clients often ask about him or request to see him when they're visiting. Wyatt spends most of his time sleeping on his pink flower pillow, seemingly unaware of the activity around him. Sometimes he can be found dipping his paws in staff members' drinks or begging for fries. He has clearly become “the king” of Beaverton Crossroads.
